Christine M. Gregorius, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at her home. She was born on November 16, 1959, in Appleton as the daughter of Sylvester and Kathryn (Mader) Gregorius.
Christine cherished her time spent with loved ones -family, friends, and her pet dogs Annie, Stella, and little Elizabeth. Christine is remembered for her unwavering generosity and enormous heart, treating others as family, especially caring for her nieces and nephew, as her own. Christine showed her non-judgmental, compassionate, and nurturing spirit by mentoring and encouraging many over the years. She was often seen looking out for others, giving exactly what people… and animals wanted, with her humble nature. Christine dedicated her career to helping people. Early on, she brought new babies into this world as an OB Tech, and later, as an Executive Director for those aging. She used her artistic flair and love of animals to bring vibrancy, joy, and bling to those in their Golden years and those passing from this physical world.
Christine is survived by her sisters: Ellen Gregorius and Mary Jo (Jay) Hetherington; nieces and nephew: Tina Gregorius, Jennifer (Aaron) Madison, and Michael Hetherington (fiancé Amanda Lamothe), grand nieces and grand nephew: Mckelle Robinson, Layton and Victoria Hetherington; an aunt: Joan Peterson, and especially her extended family of dearest friends and relatives.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Michael and Patricia Gregorius; her dogs: Annie and Stella; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 5:00 pm, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St., Appleton. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of the Mass. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
A special “Thank You” to her close friends who have shown generosity for her over the last couple of weeks.
