Christine Hausladen, age 74, of Green Bay, passed away on August 3, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 18, 1950 to Ollie and Alice Skee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Saint Helen's grade school, Saint Mary's Academy for high school, and the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Chris graduated with an Associate’s Degree as an LPN from Oakton Community College.
On August 19th, 1972, she married George Hausladen. The couple lived many places throughout the years, in Greater Milwaukee, Chicagoland, and ultimately Green Bay.
Christine took pride in her role as a homemaker and mother. She worked with numerous volunteer organizations; Wisconsin Center for Gifted Learners, Washington County Youth Hockey, and other organizations for Education, Faith and the Community. She was instrumental in the time and effort to raise the funding for the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in West Bend, WI. Chris was known by all of her friends and family for the excellent gifts and events she'd host. She always made sure everyone around her was comfortable. She was selfless, loving and a natural caregiver. Chris spent many years by the side of her mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, throughout their illnesses and during their twilight years. She had a love for the arts, classical music, and education, and she instilled that love into her children's lives. She loved the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and attended regularly for many years. She would do anything to make her family’s life better and to improve their future. Her free time was filled in nature, developing a passion for photography, gardening, culinary arts, and fine literature and always would involve her family in those hobbies.
Christine is survived by her loving husband, George, two children; Emily (Curtis) Meyers, and Alexander (Jessica) Hausladen, two grandchildren: Meganne and Madison, one brother: David (Terry) Skee, and one brother-in-law: John Habeck. Chris is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister-in-law: Linda Hausladen.
Memorial Services will be held on August 27th, at St. Martin of Tours at 7963 S. 116th St, Franklin, W, 53132 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am, service at 11:00 am, lunch reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be donated to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra via the link below. The family requests any donations are made in Memory of Christine Hausladen on the site so that the funds are directed to their many community and education outreach programs.
