Christine R. “Chris” Hoffman, 62, Mosinee passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 while under the care of Compassus Hospice at Pine Meadows, Mosinee.
She was born January 21, 1963 in Madison, daughter of Donna (Nyiri) Lorence, Wausau and the late James Lorence. On February 14, 2001 she married Ross Hoffman in Wausau. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2020.
For many years Christine worked at Wausau Child Care. Some of her favorite pastimes included cleaning, being outside enjoying nature, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had an enormous love of animals and enjoyed being a very social person.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Lorence, Wausau, her beloved grandchildren, Destiny Christine Burress and Isabella “Izzy” Nicole Burress, Wausau, her mother, Donna Lorence, Wausau, her sister, Juliet (Emery) Van Price, Wausau and one nephew, Nikolas (Cassie Myatt) Simonson, Seattle, WA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. William Ostrem will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to all the staff at Pine Meadows for the wonderful care they all gave Christine during her stay with them.
