Christine was born August 7, 1954 in Marshall, Missouri the daughter of Harold R. Kirby and Betty L. (Stone) Kirby. She was raised at Marshall Junction. As an adult, Christine resided in Harrisburg for eight years prior to living in Sedalia for 9. She had been a Centerview resident since 1997. Christine enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. She loved to cook and was known for always having a house full of people, especially grand kids.
Survivors include daughter: Shelly Stringer of Centerview, MO; two sons: John Fletcher of Otterville, MO and Matt Fletcher (Becky) also of Otterville; father: Harold Kirby (Dorothy) of Centerview, MO; two sisters: Charlene Huey of Centerview, MO and Cheryl Conrad (Sheryl Darrow) of Mustang, OK; two brothers: Charles Kirby (Marcia) of Warsaw, MO and Ronnie Kirby (Kathy) of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren: Josh Schouten and Chance Schouten; ten step grandchildren: Brittney Owens, Hayden Stringer, Samantha Fletcher, Anthony Fletcher, Alicia Brockhaus, Billy Krewson, Chet Krewson, Abby Hogan, Daniel Standley and Devann Steadham; and many great grandchildren including: Brody Alexander, Breck Alexander, Addison Schouten, Casey Schouten, Chelsea Stringer, Riley Owens and Addy Owens. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and granddaughter, Ashton Schouten.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23rd at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, with Pastor Billy Krewson, Christine's grandson, officiating. Interment will follow at the Centerview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22nd at Williams.
Memorial Contributions may be left to the Centerview Cemetery Assoc.
