Christine Schmuckal Obituary

She is the beloved wife of Ralph Schmuckal, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Ohsowski) Kaminski, and sister of Jack Kaminski.
Christine and Ralph married on July 6, 1972 and they spent many years of cherished companionship. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University, followed by her master's degree from Wayne State University. Christine started her career at the Detroit Free Press, later to become a research librarian at the Federal Science Library.
Christine enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors, including gardening, going on walks, and looking for little wildlife creatures.
She will be dearly missed by her surviving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 from 5-6pm, with a Rosary beginning at 6pm.
A funeral mass will be Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Parish, 420 North St, Milan, Michigan 48160.
Christine will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to send memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Franciscan Friars of Cincinnati.
