Christophe Sloan

Christophe Edward John Sloan, age 47, of Rhinebeck, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 27.
He spent the first 18 years of his life between Lyon and Paris, France, graduating from the American School of Paris in 1994 and then from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1998. His professional career in compliance and technology ranged from Morgan Stanley in NYC where he was named Managing Director in 2018 to CitiGroup in NYC.
He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Mia Sloan, a freshman at McGill University and Lucia Sloan, a sophomore at Rhinebeck High School, his ex-wife Léa Joly Sloan of Palma de Mallorca, his sister, Julia Sloan D'Silva of Dobbs Ferry, NY and his parents Tod and Libby Sloan of Noisy le Roi, France and Sarasota, Florida.
Christophe had many talents. As his daughter said, "He could have pursued any profession he wanted, whether as a hairstylist or an astronaut; he truly could do it all." His sense of humor brightened every room, and he never lost his youthful spirit. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his daughters, whether it was following them while shopping or, more to his taste, watching a good movie.
Christophe loved living in Rhinebeck; he was an avid runner and biker in the area. He was passionate about photography, but his greatest love and passion was for his two daughters. He will be sorely missed by us all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
