Funeral services for Christopher Lee Barbo will be held 8:00 AM, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA with Bro. Ron Skinner officiating and interment following in the Barbo Family Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Christopher Lee Barbo was born December 26, 1978 in Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, Charles Barbo and Deborah "Sue" Rigdon Estis and passed from this life on July 31, 2023 at his residence in Texas. Chris lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed music and attending the annual Coachella festival, in Indio California. Chris loved watching football, and was a true Saints and LSU fan. Chris graduated from NSU with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. He worked at JC Penney in the corporate office as a Data Base Administrator for over twenty-two years. Chris was preceded in death by his papaw, Hurshal Rigdon; and paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ruby Barbo. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sue Estis (Buddy); father, Charles Barbo; grandmother, Lois Rigdon, Charles Rigdon; brothers: Steve Barbo (Rona), Gary Barbo (Gale), Tommy Barbo (Sarah), and Patrick Estis (Heather); nieces and nephews, Morgan Barbo (Bailey), B.B. Barbo, Allen Barbo (Shelby), Kimber Barbo Rooney (Alan), Jewelly Barbo Skinner (Waddie), Tucker Barbo, Eli Barbo, and Aubrey Estis; great-nieces and nephews, Anne Marie Skinner, Lauren Dupuis and Wyatt Barbo, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special dogs Optimus and Wheezy.
Pallbearers include Morgan Barbo, Tucker Barbo, Eli Barbo, Patrick Estis, Waddie Skinner, and Josh Laird. Honorary pallbearers are B.B. Barbo and Allen Barbo.
