Christopher J. "Chris" Barry

Christopher J. Barry, 65, of Washington St., Manlius, NY, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at his home.

He was born on July 23, 1955, in Potsdam, NY, the son of Edmond P. "Pete" and Pauline R. (Caspard) Barry. He attended Canastota schools.

Chris worked as an electrician for Filtertech, Inc., in Manlius, retiring in 2017. Chris was well-known by his friends and family as an all-around nice guy. He was willing to help anyone, anyway he could. Chris was very handy and would often be called upon by his friends to lend his expertise. He was an active member of the Manlius American Legion Post 141 and would volunteer his time at many of their events. Chris loved NASCAR and Triumph motorcycles.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Miller, of Manlius; his two children, Nadine (Mark) Flynn, of Oneida, and Nathan Barry (Terra Lawlar), of East Syracuse; two brothers, Fred Barry, of Lochbuie, CO, and Steven Barry, of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Cherish Flynn (Andrew Rosso), Averi Flynn, Rilee Flynn, and Easton Flynn; the mother of his children, Wendy Barry, of East Syracuse; and many dear friends. Chris was predeceased by his father, Pete Barry; two brothers, Peter Barry and Kenneth Barry; and a sister, Margie Barry.
