Christopher Conant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shepherd Funeral & Cremation Service on Nov. 5, 2024.
Obituary of Christopher P. Conant
While the name sounds regal we can assure you he was far from royalty. Better know as "Tigger" to those who knew him best, he bounced his way out of this mortal realm much too soon on November 3, 2024 at the age of 58 while making his last wildly inappropriate and probably sarcastic comment. He remained true to his given nickname throughout his battle with the "Eeyore" of cancer.
Chris was always full of energy and never tired, he was always looking on the bright side and remained optimistic and grateful throughout his life despite any adversity. He was proud of his "stripes" and the fact that he was "the only one", validated by being his mothers favorite. He was mischievous and his actions sometimes led to chaos and trouble for himself and his friends and he eagerly shared his enthusiasm with others - whether they wanted him to or not.
Looking back, Chris stated that there was no better group of degenerates than those he had the privilege of growing up with, as well as all of the friends he made throughout his 31 years of sobriety. His "knitting group" was of great comfort and support.
His 30 plus years in home re-design culminated in his pièce de resistance with his own home. Those years afforded hundreds of clients exposure to Chris' unique personality. Some stuck around and came back for more others weren't so entertained.
He left behind a hell of a lot of stuff to his "third administration" (aka wife) who has no idea what to do with it. So if you're looking for a 1978 GMC EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle from the movie "Stripes" (quite fitting), it's sitting in their driveway and of course he lost the keys Also, there are about 1,000 tools that we aren't sure what they're used for.
This is not an ad for a pawn shop, but a tribute for a great Man, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Step Father, and Friend. Chris was the sweetest, most giving human born on March 27, 1966 in the community of Waterbury Connecticut, He was preceded in death by his Father, Ross Conant, and his Brother, James Conant.
He will be sorely missed and survived by his mother, Carol Conant, brothers, William Conant and his wife Lori, Daniel Conant, Lewis Conant and his wife Bonnie, Sisters Michelle Ouellette and her husband Shane, Cathy Condo and Nana K and all the godchildren, nieces and nephews for whom he raised, mentored and loved dearly. Oh, and his cat Marco, we can't forget Marco.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sheri Conant who adored him beyond compare, and herchildren, Emma and Christian. Sheri and Chris were lucky enough to have found "their person" in each other even though it took so damn long.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, November 7th at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston MA, with services the morning of Friday, November 8th at 10:00am at the same location. There will be a reception immediately following at 12:00pm at the Plymouth Country Club. All are welcome.

My first memory of Chris was meeting him and his big smile in a coffee shop in Marion. He was effusive and effervescent, a big tight hugger, and that is how I will remember him. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Sheri, who he could never get out of his mind or heart, and to his mom and family I was fortunate enough to meet.
