Christopher J. Dimmitt
Age 42, passed away peacefully at his Romeoville home on December 14, 2024. Born in Blue Island, IL to John and Geraldine Dimmitt, he was a graduate of Lisle High School and attended Ferris State University studying golf management and business. For the past decade, Chris was a teaching golf professional at The Links at Carillon Golf Club in Plainfield. Additionally, he performed a variety of duties at courses in Illinois, Florida, and Tennessee throughout his career. In his youth he was competitive in basketball, football, and golf. According to high school friends he was also a skilled bocce ball player. Chris loved attending sporting events, concerts, and hanging out with his friends. His greatest joy, besides family and friends, was his dog Mischa, who was always by his side for walks along the Florida coast or to chase birds from the golf course.
He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law: James, Joseph, Jeffrey, Jason (Ursula), Carl (Christina), Cory (Jennifer) along with his nieces and nephews: Hannah, Ella, Jonathan, Aliya, Cenyon, Bobby, Aaleah and Lilly. A Memorial Service / Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2025.
Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois, at a future date. Chris will be buried alongside his parents who predeceased him. Memorial donations to your favorite animal rescue or Lightways Hospice of Joliet are welcomed.
