Christopher "Chris" Louis Edrington, born on May 23, 1967, in Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on May 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and community. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his sociable nature and the ability to connect with people everywhere he went.
Chris was a proud resident of Paragould, where he cultivated a successful career as a building contractor. He was a former president of the Greene County Homebuilders Association, leaving an indelible mark on the construction industry. His commitment to his work was only rivaled by his passion for adventure. Chris relished riding motorcycles, off-roading, and taking thrilling trips in his Jeep and side-by-side. He found joy in trail riding alongside his rock climbing friends, embracing the thrill of the outdoors.
When the sun beckoned on warm days, Chris was often found at the lake, determined to have the fastest boat on the water. If his vessel didn't reach his standards, he was quick to upgrade for more speed. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his love for music; he enjoyed attending live performances and expressing himself through playing the drums.
Chris is survived by his devoted family, including his father Jerry (Linda J.) Edrington, mother Vicky Campbell, brother Stacy (Jaime) Edrington, step-sister Camela Cox, step-brother Kristopher Wells, son Andrew (Taylor) Edrington, daughter Kaitlyn (Braxton) Rousseau, grandchildren Amelia Rousseau and Landyn Edrington, nephew Dylan Edrington, nieces Abbey and Jacey Edrington, and partner Tara Maag. He was also a dedicated companion to his beloved dog, Sydney, who brought him joy and companionship.
Chris was preceded in death by his aunt, Janet Forbes.
A visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will take place that same day at 1:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance of a remarkable life. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
Chris Edrington will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
