In Memoriam: Christopher Ray Gonzales (February 14, 1969 - January 18, 2024)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher Ray Gonzales, aged 54, on January 18, 2024, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Born on February 14, 1969, to Emma V. Gonzales and Domingo R. Gonzales in Roswell, New Mexico, Christopher attended Roswell High School.
A dedicated professional, Christopher spent his career contributing to Lansco, subsequently assuming a supervisory role for eight years at AKJ Industries and Refinery before his well-earned retirement. Beyond his professional pursuits, Christopher was a loving and devoted father who worked tirelessly to care for his two children.
Known for his immense heart and infectious sense of humor, Christopher had a remarkable ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His passions included music, his dogs, the Dallas Cowboys, sports, and family movie nights. Christopher's generosity knew no bounds, as he would willingly extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Christopher leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy that will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Dorian Emma Gonzales and Christopher Ray Gonzales Jr., as well as his siblings Susie Palacio (Reymundo) and Doris Everitt (Jason), along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friend, Lorena Alvarez.
He is preceded in death by his mother Emma V. Gonzales, father Domingo R. Gonzales, brother Domingo (Sonny) Gonzales Jr., and niece Dominique Christine Gonzales.
A Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter's Church on Tuesday, February 6th, at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at South Park Cemetery.
