Christopher Anthony Harris

Christopher Anthony Harris, 32, of Harahan, Louisiana, passed away on July 18, 2025. Born on July 5, 1993, Christopher was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. His deep love for his family was matched only by how fiercely he was loved in return. His presence brought comfort, laughter and quiet strength that touched everyone, fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his devoted mother Kelly Harris (Eric), his loving grandparents Buddy and Dianne Harris and his cherished brother Jayden Dufrene. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles that loved him fiercely, Stacey Mermilliod (Stephen), Jamie Harris and Tammy Gadzinski (Erik). He will never be forgotten by his beloved cousins Cole Mermilliod, Lauren and Austin Harris and Max Gadzinski. He is also leaving behind numerous other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins including the Branigan's, Childress', Euper's, Keenum's, Ryan's and Stanley's. Christopher shared a deep and abiding love with his girlfriend Jessica Norster, whose partnership brought him joy, companionship and peace. By his side always was Stella, his loyal dog and constant companion. Christopher was preceded in death by his father Chris English and his beloved Maw Maw Virgie Keenum. Christopher cherished spending time with his friends and family. He had a special love for cooking on his smoker, often bringing people together over his smoked cream cheese creations. A devoted sports fan, he especially enjoyed cheering on the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Cardinals. He treasured attending Saints games with his mom. Above all, Christopher's greatest passion was baseball – a sport he played so well for so many years. He proudly played on Riverdale's Baseball Team and graduated with the Class of 2011. Christopher will be remembered for the loyalty he showed, the warmth he gave so freely and the bonds he held close to his heart. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of love endures in the memories he helped create and in the lives of those who carry him forward. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
