We are gathered today to celebrate the life of Christopher W. Jimison, also lovingly known as BB, born on the 15th of January 1971 in Michigan City, Indiana. Christopher brought joy and laughter into the world, a testament to his funny and compassionate nature. He was a beacon of love and talent, whose light touched many souls throughout his journey. Christopher was a man who, in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "left the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition."
Despite never marrying, Christopher was a loving figure to many, including his daughter, Jasmine McKnight, and his stepdaughter, Jasmine McNeil. He also leaves behind his mother Mamie Jackson of Mississippi, sisters Chrysanthia (Cyndi) Jimison Davis of Texas, Dorinda (Dodi) Jimison of Maryland, Alkeia (Kia) Blackmon of Indiana, and a host of loving family. He was preceded in death by his father Willie Jimison, whose memory he held dear. Christopher's strength and resilience in the face of life's challenges were a testament to his loving parents' influence.
We invite you to join us for Christopher's visitation on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025 at 12:00pm EST, at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. Friends may visit with family from 10 A.M until the start of the service. As we remember Christopher, let us carry forth his legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Let us remember him as a man who "planted trees under whose shade he did not expect to sit," and let his memory inspire us to do the same. We encourage you to leave your precious memories of Christopher, and upload pictures that captured his loving, funny, talented, and compassionate spirit to the memorial page.
