Christopher Allen Jones

Christopher Allen Jones, age 47, known to his friends and family as Chris or Bubba, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on the 7th day of April 2023. Born on the 31st of August 1975, in Jacksonville, Texas, Chris was a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Patsy Jackson, and Bernard Clark and Althea Morel Jones.
Left to cherish Chris's memory are his parents Larry and Sherrie Jones of Longview, Texas; sister, Lacey Jones of Santa Cruz, California, and other beloved family members and friends.
Chris dedicated 16 years of his life to serving his community as a jailer for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department. His unwavering commitment to his work was a testament to his strong sense of duty and integrity. Chris was highly respected by his colleagues and was known for his ability to bring humor and light to even the most challenging situations.
Outside of work, Chris was a man of many interests, including music, cooking, and playing video games. His passion for music was evident in the vast collection of songs he amassed over the years. Chris was often found humming a tune or tapping his feet to the rhythm of a favorite song. His culinary skills were a source of joy for his friends and family, as he was always eager to share his latest creations with those he loved.
A true friend to all, Chris was known for his friendly, generous, and funny nature. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel at ease, and his infectious laughter was a balm to those around him. In the words of Lou Reed "When you think the night has seen your mind, that inside you're twisted and unkind, let me stand to show that you are blind, please put down your hands, cause I see you, I'll be your mirror, reflect what you are." Chris certainly left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
As we remember Chris, we celebrate his life and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to share memories and honor the legacy that Chris leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Chris. Your love, laughter, and kindness will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know you.
