Christopher Robert King went home to be with his Creator and Savior on October 27th, 2022. However, Christopher has never left the care of his Creator. He entered the world on February 17th, 1986. Born into adversity, Christopher spent the first 2.5 months of his life at Children's hospital, expected not to survive. Christopher did more than survive, he went on to have 24 surgeries in 21 years, graduated high school from Macomb Christian Schools, completed his bachelor's degree at Baker College, and worked full time at Binson's Medical Supply. But he did more than that he went on to touch the lives of thousands of people through his music all while never learning to read notes. He had an amazing ability to hear a piece of music and then play it. Even more amazing was his ability to become a friend to every person he met and impact them in a way they would never forget. Christopher had a love for praise music and his hope in Jesus never wavered. He will be missed terribly by those who knew and loved him, but rest assured he is now in the presence of a King who has never left his side.
Christopher is survived by his loving parents Robert and Janice King, his brother Ryan (Kimmi) King, and his adoring niece and nephews; Colton, Kayla and Caiden King, grandmother Shirley King, Aunt Caia (Tom) Dykman, and Uncle Cameron King, as well as multitude of friends and loved ones, and his beloved dogs Berlin, Bentley, and Sadie. He is preceded in death by grandfather Robert J. King, aunt Laura (Woolley) Burgess, grandmother Helen Woolley, and grandfather Paul Woolley.
When the sun's shining down, and when the road is marked with suffering and pain, we say with Job, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord" (Job 1:21)

Learning this completely breaks my heart. When I first started attending Woodside, Chris was one of the first persons I met, always with a smile on his face and always made you feel happy. Im so sorry for the loss of your son, uncle, and friend to many. I pray that God wraps his loving around all that grieve his loss.
