Christopher Douglass Kohnke, born Oct 6, 1972, in Sulfur, LA, was called Home by his Heavenly Father Dec 2, 2024 in Houston, TX.
Chris deeply loved his family. He lived a self sacrificial life dedicated to the health, well being, and happiness of his family. He was a loving husband, a good father, a caring son, brother, and uncle, and a loyal friend. Chris ran a successful retail honey business, leaving behind many cherished partners, market buddies and regular customers.
Chris is survived by his wife, Rhonda, son and daughter in law Dalton and Candice, son John Henry, his parents, Morris and Margie, his sister Debbie, her husband Billy and their 3 children, and his brother Ken, his fiancée Rita, and Ken's two children. Chris will be missed by his extended family including Kay Freberg West, Rodney and Becky Holloway, Rachel Schwartz and family, and Claire McCullough and family. Chris was blessed to be loved by his god father Ronald Paul, and aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Kohnke, Delcambre, Fox, Marshall, Terry, Blalock and Johnson families.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Chris at Kingsland Baptist Church on Kingsland Blvd January 4 at 11:00 AM. All are welcome.
