Christopher J. Kulpa

Christopher Joseph Kulpa passed away November 24, 2025 at Wheeling Hospital at the age of 74.Born April 5, 1951 in Wheeling, WV, Chris was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. James Parish, McMechen, WV.

Chris, known to everyone, was an avid fisherman and loved his camp at Seneca Lake. He knew where all the good fishing holes were. Chris loved Christmas. Together, with his wife, they enjoyed decorating inside and out. In 2019 their home was featured on WTRF Holiday series. He took great pride in his grandchildren and all of their achievements.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Wanda Kulpa; nephews, Jason Kociban and Ryan McGee; brothers-in-law, Mark McGee and Andrew Kociban and sisters-in-law Nancy Boreman.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 53 years, Sondra; daughter, Christian (Bob) Means; son, Chad (Lindsey) Kulpa; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Hunter, Liam, Luke, Alex, Cooper, Shane and Courtney as well as two sisters, Kathy McGee and Lora Kociban and several nieces and nephews.

Chris worked for Consol Coal Company for many years, then several cell phone companies before retiring from Swisher International in South Wheeling.

In accordance with Christopher's wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
