Christopher James Lehman, age 58 of Wauzeka, WI, formerly of Rochester, MN, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Unity Point Health – Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 26, 1965, the son of James and Phyllis (Taack) Lehman. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN with the class of 1983. Chris married Carol Koecke on March 4, 2014, in Las Vegas, NV. He always loved construction and working with big equipment. He worked for Pattison Sand Co. in Clayton, IA for 16 years. He loved hunting and fishing. He loved his nieces and nephews, and he was their favorite Uncle B. He is survived by his wife Carol; parents James and Phyllis Lehman; sisters Julie (Dave) Pady and Jennifer Berry; nephews Dylan and Logan Pady and Jack Berry; nieces Megan and Audrey Berry; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harold and Alice Taack; paternal grandparents James and Jeanette Lehman; aunts Rosie Lehman Loustch and Kathy Taack; uncles Bill Loutsch and Kenny Kaul; father-in-law Ethan Koecke and mother-in-law Joyce Koecke.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor Miranda Klosterboer officiating with inurnment to be held at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
