Christopher James Lister, 43, passed into Heaven on July 4, 2024. Chris was a strong young man who spent his entire life defying all odds. His gift of love, affection and kindness to others is a legacy that is unparalleled. Chris enjoyed laughter, movies and had a passion for creating beautiful works of art. Ever giving, Chris would always give away his drawings with a slight smile and a wink because he knew what it meant for someone to be thought of, as it was always his plan to greet someone with a gift that was custom-made just for them. A constant smile on his face, Chris was a true child of happiness and love. As he defied all odds, he also defied the social norm by claiming his alternate name as "Ice Man," from his most favorite movie, "Top Gun." His love for movies turned him into an avid collector and he was always ready to head to the theatre for new releases. Chris effortlessly graced his family and friends with many years of vibrant colors that will continue as a guiding light, for everyone. "Let your light so shine before men" Matthew 5:16 Chris was welcomed to Heaven by this brother Edward (Eddie), his grandfather Freeman, and his grandfather Donald. He is survived by his parents Ann and Mike, his sister Amy, his grandmother Shirley, his grandmother Nancy, his nephews Cameron, Ian and Nathan, and his niece Sophia. Chris looks down from Heaven upon all and is remembered for his animated ways that served to bring joy to everyone he met. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts of love and remembrance in Christopher's name be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
