Christopher John Lognion, 41, of Gillis passed away at 10:07 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in a local hospital.
Chris, born on December 27, 1982, in Lafayette, Louisiana, and grew up in Lake Charles where he graduated from LaGrange High School. He pursued further education in automobile technology at Sowela Technical Institute. With a passion for mechanics, Chris enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Outside of his professional interests, he loved spending time fishing, both in saltwater and fresh water, and hiking with his wife and their dogs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 11 years, Jessie Wintz Lognion of Gillis; parents, David and Becky Lognion of Lake Charles and Jennifer and Kevin Flaharty of Lafayette; mother in law and father in law, John and Bebe Wintz of Plaquemine; siblings, Jonathan and Nicholas Lognion of Lake Charles and Corey Flaharty of Lafayette; sister in law, Holly Murphey (Cindy Adkins) of Alamosa, CO; brother in law, Timmy Wintz (Nicole) of St. Gabriel; Godchild, Hadleigh Maneille; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
