Christopher D. Morrow

Christopher Dennis Morrow, 63, of Newcomerstown, OH, passed away on July 23, 2025. Born on September 11, 1961, in Steubenville, OH, Chris carried with him a deep love for his hometown and its traditions throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Steubenville High School, Chris was an active member of the community in his youth, playing in the marching band and competing on the soccer, wrestling, and baseball teams. His Big Red spirit never faded and remained a core part of who he was.

After high school, Chris attended Ohio University before building a long and dedicated career at Simona Boltaron and later finishing his work life at BelcoWorks. Through every position he held, Chris was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and good humor.

Chris had a deep love for video games, classic monster movies, his dog Louie, and all things Star Wars. Fall weekends were reserved for football, especially cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Minnesota Vikings. His passion for sports was matched only by his loyalty to his favorite teams.

Though Chris was a private man, those fortunate enough to truly know him understood just how sharp, funny, and genuine he could be. He had a rare wit that could break any tension, spoke plainly, and lived honestly, always finding a way to put a smile on someone's face.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Denzol and Joan Morrow; his brother, John Morrow; sister-in-law, Tina Morrow; and his beloved son, Shalan Scott Morrow.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Iris Morrow; his children, Ian and Kaylen Morrow; and his cherished granddaughter, Clover Meeks. He is also survived by his brothers Peter (Brenda), Benjamin (Donna), Stacy, and Todd, along with their children, and many more members of the Morrow, Davis, Walker, Scott, and Belcher families. Chris also leaves behind dear friends and coworkers whose lives he touched in countless meaningful ways.

His presence in our lives was a gift, and though he is gone, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and forever loved.

A graveside service will be held at West Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
