Christopher H. Pinkerous, of Napanoch, NY passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on January 29, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on October 16, 1967, in Ellenville, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Patricia (Brust) Pinkerous.
Chris graduated from Ellenville High School in 1986 and went on to attend Hudson Valley Community College, where he earned a degree in automotive mechanics. This knowledge fueled his love for motorcycles and all things mechanical.
Chris served as a Corrections Officer for Ulster Correctional Facility for 25 years until his retirement in October of 2014. Following his retirement, he joined his brother Paul at NPS, where he handled all aspects of the job with dedication and expertise.
Outside of work and family life, He was a proud member of the Walker Valley Warthog LE Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow riders with his brothers in blue. In addition, he found joy in snowmobiling and camping—a true lover of the outdoors.
However, it was Chris’ love for his family that truly defined him. He adored spending time with his wife Lori (Wilhelm) Pinkerous and their three children: Christopher Pinkerous Jr, Brianna Smith and her husband Matthew, Jackie Ellsworth and her husband John. He found immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren: Emily, Benjamin, Daniel, Colin, and Claire. He cherished every moment he spent with them. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Thomas Pinkerous and his wife Jackie, his brother Paul Pinkerous and his wife Jennifer, his nieces and nephew Cassandra, Hailey, and Brock along with Uncle Henry Brust and Aunt Madeline Quintal.
Chris will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
