Christopher M. Renzi of Taunton, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away after a period of failing health on November 7th, 2024. He was 62 years old.
Chris was born in Brockton on April 16th, 1962 and grew up in the city. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1980 and received his bachelor's degree in business from UMass Dartmouth. After college, Chris worked for multiple different financial institutions, and continued to do so for the rest of his career.
In the early nineties, Chris met Joan Fabrizio at a social event through mutual acquaintances. The two began dating and would later marry in 1995. They lived in Weymouth for a period of time before relocating to Bridgewater where they settled down and raised their three children.
Chris was well known and loved in his community. He coached the Bridgewater Badgers youth football team when his son joined in 2005, all the way up until last year. Chris made many lasting friendships and connections throughout his years coaching. He was a life-long athlete and played on a local men's softball league for many years.
When he wasn't working or coaching, Chris liked to golf. He was always active and made sure to go for a long walk every day. He loved all sports and couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch a game on TV. He was a craft beer enthusiast, and even toyed with the idea of opening his own brewery someday.
Chris can be described as a "guy's guy"- whether it was about sports, politics, or anything else, he could talk to anyone. He was incredibly social and loved making friends. He was personable, easy-going, and always lit up the room. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Chris is predeceased by his mother, Mary Renzi (Edgehille).
He is survived by his wife, Joan Renzi (Fabrizio) of Estero, Florida. Father of Val Moitoza and her husband Mike of Bridgewater, Bella Medairos and her husband Cody of Taunton, and CJ Renzi and his wife Lauren of Wilmington, North Carolina. Son of Vincent Renzi. Brother of Brenda DiClemente, Vincent Renzi and his wife Lisa, and Rick Renzi and his wife Heather. Papa of Aiden, Mikey, Vera, Mira, Colton, Rhett, and Levi. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
