Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Vincent C. and Stephanie (Yankum) Renzi. Vinny grew up in Dorchester, MA. and was a graduate of Boston Technical High School. Upon graduating from high school, Vinny joined the US Navy. He served as an RM3 on the U.S.S. Rigel and was honorably discharged.
Vinny is survived by his children, Brenda DiClemente of Warren, RI., Vincent R. Renzi and his wife Lisa of Mansfield, MA, and Richard Renzi and his wife Heather of Summerville, SC, his late son Christopher M. Renzi of Raynham, MA, and his wife Joan of Estero, FL., his siblings, Joanne Landers of Foxboro, MA. and Patricia Barry of Wellesley, MA., 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Vinny was employed in sales and worked in the freight forwarding industry for most of his career. Vinny and Mary always loved to travel abroad and spent many vacations cruising to various Caribbean island destinations with close friends and family. He welcomed the opportunity to join Joanne and Mike Landers Evergreen Travel agency as he was approaching retirement. Upon retirement, Vinny worked part-time for a local confectionery business in the delivery department.
He was a former West Little League baseball coach in Brockton, MA. and a great handyman who had all the tools for every auto repair and construction project. He loved to tend to his vegetable garden, watch sports and spend time with family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed donating what he could to a variety of children's organizations.
