In Loving Memory of Christopher Schultz
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Schultz. Christopher passed suddenly and unexpectedly on March 17, 2025, at the age of 33. Born and raised in Ridgecrest, California, Chris had a passion for skateboarding, and he dreamed of going big in the music industry. His infectious smile always left a lasting impression on so many people.
A lifelong skater, Chris would often be found at the skatepark, teaching tricks to neighborhood kids or simply enjoying the rush of pavement beneath his board. Music was his constant companion-he collected vinyl records, swapped playlists with friends, and never missed a chance to introduce someone to a new band he'd discovered.
Christopher had spent time in Nevada, Montana, Louisiana and Arizona before settling back in Ridgecrest in October 2023. Chris is survived by his mother Laurie Schultz, sisters Cassandra (Schultz) DeBlieck and Reanna Johnson, brother Ryan Leer, children Phoenix (6), Leonidas (4), Zsa Zsa (1), and a niece he couldn't wait to meet. He also had an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and a large number of friends who loved to be around him.
Chris touched countless lives with his kindness, his gentle humor, and his generous spirit. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy lives on in the laughter of his children, the songs he shared, and the community he helped shape. He will be so deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of life will be held at Casey's restaurant on May 31st at 3pm in Christopher's honor. Anyone who loved Chris is more than welcome to come and celebrate his beautiful life and share stories they shared with him.
Chris, all of your friends and family will forever cherish your humor, laughter, and love. You have left such an impact on so many peoples lives, many loved you. You have helped so many people and that will be a big memory that people will always have of you. Your gentle, caring soul will live on through your children, family and friends. We all love you so very much and will miss you deeply. Rest in paradise.
