Christopher M. Schwieger of Bow died January 21, 2022. He was 56.
Christopher was born in Arlington Massachusetts and grew up in Derry NH.
Chris graduated Pinkerton academy in 1984 and then attended university of Lowell for Nursing. He then continued onto Albany Medical College PA program graduating in 1995.
Chris loved being on the lake in his boat "Steady as we go". He was happiest behind the wheel driving taking friends and family out for a day on lake Winnipesaukee. He loved late summer evenings when the sun was setting with the warm summer breeze and the smell of camp fire.
Chris along with his wife and children spent many summers and weekends in Nantucket. This was his favorite place to visit and make memories with his family, it was a place like no other.
Chris married Tracey Keyser in 2005 on the beaches of York Maine. They then continued their new life and welcomed and son Brady and daughter Norah which he delivered and placed them on Tracey's chest. He was very happy that he was the one to "catch" them.
Chris patients loved him. He loved them, he would never stop advocating for them or give up on finding them an answer to their problems or questions. Many of them would only see him because of his mellow, gentle manner.
Chris is predeceased by his mother Patricia Schwieger, his brother Brian Schwieger and his brother David Schwieger.
He is survived by this father and brother both of Derry. His wife of 17 years Tracey Schwieger of Bow NH. His son Brady and his daughter Norah and nephew Ivan Schwieger of Nantucket.
The family would like to thank the Hooksett Police department for all their support.

I am so saddened to hear this news. Chris had been my doctor for many years. Most don´t look forward to doctors visits but I always enjoyed meeting with Chris. He was a very caring guy who always spoke kindly about his family. I considered him a friend and will miss him greatly. My sincere condolences.

Chris had the most gentle, approachable demeanor I´ve ever seen in a man. I loved talking with him about health, boats, tractors, sports, family and life. I only wish we had more opportunities to talk about the deeper things of life. I´ll miss you my friend. Peace, comfort and blessings upon Chris, his wife, family and friends fortunate enough to have known him.

My deepest sympathy to the Schwieger family. Chris was more than my doctor he was a friend. I always looked forward to seeing Chris and talking about his family and tractor stories. We are close in age and we could relate with each other. I'm so sorry and he will be missed. Carl Worthen

Jim and I have been patients of Chris's for 15 years or so. My husband and he would just go on and on about kids, work, etc..during their visits making my normally "white coat" anxiety ridden husband feel like he was visiting an old buddy. He actually looked forward to seeing him and convinced me to become part of the family practice too. I quickly understood what it was that made him so comfortable to be around and he was the only provider I wanted to see too. I had the utmost trust in him and also trust that he is now in the hands of our Lord. God bless Chris's family and give them strength at this time.

I will remember Chris as a provider whose patients would not agree to see anyone but him, and a hero to many with mental health diagnoses. May he rest easy and his family be comforted in the arms of God.

I worked with Chris several years ago at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Bedford.
He was one of the best providers I have ever worked for, he was kind and ,compassionate for all his patients. What I always love is that he always brought the patient to my check out window and said my secretary Kelly will take care of you. He made me valued and always told me I was part of the patient's experience and believed in me . They'll never be another person like Chris. I'm thankful and honored to have known him.

I am devastated over the news of his passing. Always apprehensive of going to the Dr's it was Chris who changed all that. My first visit with him I looked down and he was wearing worn out brown shoes, I'm not sure why that comforted me but it did. Over the many years he treated me I came to depend and trust in his decisions for me to be my healthiest me. To say I'm deeply saddened by this news is an understatement. My prayers to his wife, children, and family.

Chris has been taking care of me since he was with Dr Paul Morbey.
When Dr Morbey had to retire due to health issues , I had to find a new primary Dr.. I was able to get in with Dartmouth in Manchester and Dr. Christopher Braga. It wasn´t until the first time I went to see Dr Braga that I realized Chris had joined Dr. Braga in family medicine. I was elated that Chris was there. Whenever I had to go to the Dr. I always asked for Chris Schwieger. He was extremely kind, easy going and very thorough and always spent whatever time I needed. If I had questions, concerns or needed to have my new medications explained he took the time because he genuinely cared about my well being. I was supposed to see him tomorrow for a medical issue and I´m devastated with the news of his passing.
I´m keeping his family in my prayers and my heart breaks for his wife and especially for the children. May God give you the strength and courage needed during this terrible tragedy.
I will miss Chris deeply, he was the best.
My sincere sympathies.
