Christopher W. "Buck" Sherman

Christopher W. "Buck" Sherman, 69, of North Providence, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Born on December 6, 1956, in Providence, RI to Mary Catherine (Migliaccio) Sherman-McCarthy and the late Arthur S. Sherman.

For more than three decades, Chris shared his life with his beloved wife, Diane (Calligano) Sherman, until her passing this past December. Their bond was one of loyalty, companionship, and shared simplicity.

Known affectionately as "Buck," he will be remembered as a man who found joy in simple pleasures. A devoted Rolling Stones fan, Buck fondly remembered the days when Classic Rock wasn't classic just yet. He was a skilled carpenter by trade, proud of his work and the craftsmanship he brought to every project.

More than anything, Buck was a good guy - someone who made good times better that will long be cherished by those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Sherman-McCarthy, and her husband, Tom; his brothers, Arthur "Artie" Sherman, Kevin Sherman, and Steven Sherman; his daughter, Casey; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mark Sherman and Mary Strom.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, concluding with a service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
