Christopher Solinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Jul. 25, 2025.
Christopher Ronald Solinski lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.

Chris graduated from the University of Dayton in 1987 with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He began his career with DPL and, in 2001, continued his work with Arizona Public Service, where he remained a dedicated part of the team for many years.

When Chris wasn't working, he found his peace and happiness on the water. Whether on a boat or with a fishing pole in hand, the love of fishing passed down from his dad, Ronald Sr., became one of the greatest joys of his life. Some of his fondest memories were the fishing trips he shared with his brother Ron and his brother-in-law Tom-never mind the weather. Chris was impervious to cold, sleet or snow while fishing, and nothing could keep him away from a day on the water.

He also loved cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and his Cleveland Browns, often texting family throughout the highs and lows of each game. Golfing brought him joy as well, and dogs always had a special place in his heart. At home, he enjoyed daily crosswords and sudokus, and he looked forward to his semiannual trips to Las Vegas.

Chris was a kind, easy-going soul who cherished his family above all. He loved life's simple pleasures: sitting back, taking it all in, and being present with those he loved.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Hayley Nielsen, and son-in-law, Anthony; his loving companion, Heidi Peterson; his mom, Benita; his sister, Debbie; his brother, Ron, and sister-in-law, Patty; his sister, Donna DePalma, and brother-in-law, Tom; nephew Nathan (Maddy); niece Gina (fiancee Nick Surges); and nephew Nick. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sr. (1987).

Chris leaves behind memories of calm waters, laughter on the boat, and a legacy of kindness that will forever be held close by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chris's memory.
