Christopher "Wagon Wheel" Wagner, age 52, of Cascade (formerly of Glenbeulah), passed away on October 9, 2024 at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1972 in Sheboygan, WI, a son to Mark and Carol (Schuppel) Wagner.
Chris attended Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Grade School and High School, graduating in 1991.
He worked various jobs but most recently was working at Land Steward Landscaping and helped out part time at Goeser Farms in Plymouth.
Chris loved all things nature; hunting, fishing, shed hunting, trap shooting, racing, and snowmobiling. Where ever he went in the Midwest Chris would know someone and would give them the gift of gab. Chris once said, "Cats have nine lives and he out lived that cat". One of his enjoyments was sitting on his front porch waving to people as they drove by while listening to his tunes.
He was a member of the Ridge Runner's Sportsman Club in Cascade and was a leader in restarting the Parnell Snowmobile Club.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Carol Wagner of Glenbeulah; daughter, Alisha Esselstein of GA; grandchildren, William "Liam", Cash, Hattie, and Lennon; two sisters, Jill "Sky" (Mark) Grady of CA and Jodi (Lloyd) Rebedew of Glenbeulah; six nephews "The Indians", Trevor, Trent, Troy, Cody, Tristan, Trayden; and many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Walter Vollrath, Denton Saladini, Jon Allen, and Craig Desmidt for always being there for him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbert and Elizabeth Wagner, and Myron and Rita Schuppel, and two uncles, Ken Schommer and Tom Watry.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
The Suchon Funeral Home is assisting the family. For online condolences, please visit www.suchonfh.com.
Chris' passion was deer hunting and he always wore his Grandpa Wagner's bandana handkerchief during the season. He liked to make up "Team High Tower" hunting videos. This was his last call. Over and out
