Christopher James Worrell, born May 23,1961 was taken far too soon, to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024.
He was a devoted husband, father and the proudest Papa you ever saw.
He attended East Valley High School with the graduating class of 1979.
Chris married the love of his life, Darla Worrell, on October 16, 1981, then the addition of their two, amazing sons Craig Christopher (1982) and Cory James (1986) came.
Chris' passion for muscle cars and anything fast and loud was something he was able to turn into a successful business for over 36 years. In 1988, Chris and Darla opened Chris' Recovery Shop where they built countless relationships within the community. This passion also led to the building of their first Jr Dragster for his oldest son Craig in 1993, with his little brother Cory joining the action a few short years later. Together they spent over a decade racing at tracks all over the country.
Chris was his son's biggest fan, no matter what they did. From racing and sporting events to everyday accomplishments in their lives. He was so proud to see the men they had become.
When the grandkids came along, this was a game changer. He loved them all to the moon and back. They could do no wrong and could not be spoiled enough. He was thrilled that they were all participating in sports as he never wanted to miss a single game. They all knew he was there as his encouraging and energetic voice was unmistakable.
He and Darla loved to spend time with friends and family at the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon.
He is preceded in death by his father, Duane E. Worrell Sr., and his mother, Bonnie (Patnode) Worrell. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Darla Worrell, two Sons Craig (Melissa) Worrell, Cory (Kamilia) Worrell, and four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jordyn, Olivia, and Isaac. Brother, Duane (Jennifer) Worrell, sister, Renee (Jimmy) Robinson, sister, Neva (Scott) Worrell, and stepbrother, Dan Lindberg.
Services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Moxee, Washington, on Friday January 10th, at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the church hall.
