Christopher Yuhas
, 32 of Elizabeth, PA died unexpectedly on Wednesday July 12,2023. Christopher was born June 05, 1991 in McKeesport, PA, the son of Jerri Yuhas.
He had a big heart, was exceptionally witty, had a passion for cooking, baking, helping others, creating slide shows for family events, correcting others grammar, being a prankster and was the family “go-to-guy” for any kind of technical issues.
He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and former husband as well as taco Tuesday, game nights, watching The Office & Friends, Harry Potter, Marvel, playing video games and exploring Broadway Shows in New York City.
Christopher was extremely caring for people as well as for his cats. He was a proud “Cat Dad”.
In High School, he was very social, participated in musicals, played the trumpet in the marching band, taught himself to play the saxophone and was the “King of Hearts” for the Valentine dance.
After graduation, he achieved a Bachelors degree in Psychology at The University of Pittsburgh and Masters degree in school counseling at CalU which landed him a job as a Senior Psych Care Plus clinician with UPMC where he worked for the past few years.
He was preceded in death by grandparents John and Frances Yuhas, Aunt; Louise Rayer and cousins Madisyn and Jeffrey Yuhas.
Christopher is survived by Mom, former husband, Jordan Yuhas, many aunts; Cathy (Ray) Uhrin, Patricia Yuhas, April Sestito, Mary Yuhas, Uncles; John Yuhas III & Frank Rayer Jr., many cousins; Ashley (Keegen) Alcock, Sean ( Ashley) Uhrin, Michael (Nicole) Yuhas, Sarah Yuhas, Amanda Rayer, Caitlin Uhrin, Krystal Sestito, Tyler Sestito, Kayla Yuhas and Frank Rayer III, 4 cats; Eliza, Hami, Oliver & Bruno.
Christopher was charming, funny, intelligent, a talented musician, and had a big heart. He left us way to young and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will be received on
Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 12-3pm and 5-8pm
at Stephen D Slater Funeral Home at 1701 PA 51, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A service will take place at the funeral home on
Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10am
to be followed by interment at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the organizations Christopher was passionate about:
