Christy Joe Day, 63, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on October 26, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born on September 29, 1962, he was the son of the late Harold Julius Day Jr. and Pauline Kay (Jovingo) Day. Christy grew up in California, where his sense of adventure and independence first began to shine. A free spirit at heart, he lived life on his own terms and often described himself as a bit of a wanderer — always ready for the next road, the next town, or the next great story.
Christy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, spending two years stationed in London, where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of seeing his favorite band, Pink Floyd, in concert. Most recently, he worked as a job foreman for his brother’s company, Midwest Climate.
He loved traveling, meeting new people, and caring for his beloved cats, who were his constant companions through life’s journeys.
Christy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jennifer Lee Day.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Buzz and Holly Day, and his nephews, Jonathan, Joshua, and Patrick Day.
