Charles "Chuck" Lee Hall, 87 years of age, of
Pampa, Texas, received his New Year's wish when he joined his precious soulmate, Charlotte, in Heaven on January 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Pampa on December 11, 1938, to Vernon and Francis Hall. They remained in Pampa where he attended school until his sophomore year when they moved to San Bernadino, California then shortly afterwards relocated to Portland, Oregon. He then graduated from Park Rose High School and attended the University of Portland for one year before moving back home to Pampa.
Fortunately for Chuck, he met the absolute love of his life, Charlotte Claunch, on a blind date. He stated that he would have asked her to marry him on the first date, but he didn't want her to laugh at him, so he waited until the second date! She still laughed! However, they dated for about a year and when he asked again, she accepted. They exchanged vows on February 14, 1959, and she remained the center of his world until the day he passed away.
Over the years, Chuck worked in various capacities beginning at Firestone for a stint, then in 1963, he hired on at CE Natco and remained there for approximately 25 years before retiring and embarking in a new direction geared towards Charlotte's love of nursing by purchasing Agape Nursing Agency. Together, they owned and operated it for 10 years before he retired again, then in 2000, he became a correction officer for TDCJ for two years followed by becoming a jailor at the Gray County Jail for a few years before finally retiring for good. To say Chuck was a hard worker was an understatement, he didn't know how to sit idle for any length of time.
Not only a hard worker, Chuck was also a family man. He loved his family and spending time with them was a must. He enjoyed camping and fishing, so most family vacations were camping trips that created fond memories to cherish. Chuck was a history buff and enjoyed collecting and shooting guns and believe it or not, he was quite proficient with a computer. When Kevin was in Optimist baseball, Chuck coached for 7 years and enjoyed every minute of it. As a young boy, Chuck was a Boy Scout and according to his stories, hiked Mount St. Helens more than once and even camped overnight on the rim of the volcano's crater. As he got older, and maybe as boredom set in, Chuck loved to tinker with things, always wanting to fix something even if he had to break it to fix it! He was full of ideas and always on the lookout for his next task to tackle. Chuck lived a full 87 years and with that, he often claimed "He lived a good life!"
He was reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife and soulmate, Charlotte Claunch Hall; his parents; a brother, James Hall and his wife, Brenda; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hall and his in-laws, John and Hazel Claunch.
His memories will be cherished by his three children, Rebecca Pamplin and husband Robert of Pampa, Kevin Hall and wife Pam of Orlando, FL, Janet Anguiano and husband Apolo of Pampa; a brother, Kenneth Hall of Pampa; 10 grandchildren, Chris Welch and wife Tika of Fox, OK, Justin Welch of El Paso, Jeremy Hall of Orlando, FL, Chad Long of Pampa, Jessica Williams and husband Brandon of Orlando, FL, Angela Tessier and husband Kenny of Orlando, FL, Aaron Anguiano and wife Christina of Pampa, Adam Anguiano of Pampa, Johnny Anguiano and wife Danielle of Amarillo, Austin Anguiano of Pampa; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as a host of extended family members who will all miss him dearly.
Chuck will be available for viewing on Saturday, from 12pm until 8pm and again on Sunday, from 1pm until 8pm at Winegeart Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Briarwood Church with Pastor Jamison Hancock officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
