Chukwu Onwuka Chukwu

BEGAN LIFE in Nigeria (in what is now called Abia state, city of Aba) on [10/25/52] OCTOBER 24, 1954, THAT ENDED In North Carolina (Greensboro) on OCTOBER 22, 2023.
In the 1970's, at the urging of his father, Chukwu traveled to the US to pursue a college education; he graduated from Shaw University with a Bachelor's degree.
He worked for IBM as a technician for over a decade, followed by employment with several other Research Triangle Park (RTP) computer companies. Later, he worked for Durham Public Schools Systems until his retirement.
Chukwu became a father in his 30s with the birth of Nina L. Flowers, whom he shared with Jerlene "Jeri" Flowers (who preceded him in death).
In 1990, he married Shari E. Alexander. Their union produced five children: Amanda, Xavier, Charles, Elliott and Miles.
Chukwu, "Chuck," was a strong Nigerian man who ultimately lost his 12+ years battle with cancer.
Chukwu leaves behind a 91-year-old mother, Madam Ugo Grace Onwuka (Nigeria), three sisters, one brother, many half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. His father, Onwuka Chukwu Onwuka, and two younger brothers died years before.
Chukwu was loved, and will be forever missed.
