Cindy Ann Meador, 67, of New Castle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 9, 1957, in New Castle, Indiana, she was a cherished daughter of the late Joe Kenneth Ryan Lee and Diana Mae (Brewer) Lee.
Cindy was one of those rare souls who made every room brighter just by walking in. Vibrant, quick-witted, and full of life, she had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved. She was known for her outspokenness and a little bit of sass - traits that made her both a natural leader and a joy to be around. Beneath her bold personality was a heart of gold - deeply compassionate, loyal, and always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear.
For nearly 30 years, Cindy excelled as a district supervisor for a petroleum company, where her intelligence, drive, and leadership earned her great respect. But outside of work, she poured her energy into the things that brought her joy: crafting beautiful wreaths and lighted trees, crocheting, decorating her home, and going on shopping trips that always seemed to end with something perfect "just because."
Cindy loved animals, especially her beloved Yorkies, and found joy in traveling, discovering new places, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren - the lights of her life. Every holiday, every gathering, and every small moment with them was special to her.
A woman of strong faith, Cindy was a devoted member of Open Arms Church, where she found comfort and community.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 34 years, Bob Meador; her daughter, Amy (Scott) Rawlins of Charlottesville; her grandchildren, Justice Runion, Chelsea Runion, Austin Miller, and Ashton Miller; her step-granddaughter, Terrie (Dylan) Wheeley; her brother, Gary Ryan Lee of Anderson; her sister, Vera Joann Lee of Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeremy Alan Miller in 2018, and her brother Kenneth Edward Lee in August 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Sproles Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
