Cindy Prien of Moore, Oklahoma, was called Home to Heaven on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the age of 60. She was born Cindy R. Huffman in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 1, 1963, to Betty Faye (Brantley) Huffman and Jesse H. Huffman. On November 8, 1991, she married the great love of her life, Daniel Prien, in a beautiful ceremony in Oklahoma City. She was a longtime and faithful member of Covenant Fellowship Church.
Cindy enjoyed shopping in her free time, especially online and at J.C. Penney. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish, especially when she could go pond fishing. She was a dedicated OU Sooners fan, and she also loved watching her favorite reality shows.
Cindy attended Moore High School. She earned her bartending license and went to work in the Food and Beverage industry for most of her career. Cindy also worked for Oklahoma Farm Bureau, and as a Loss Prevention Specialist.
Sassy and outspoken – you never had to guess where Cindy stood on the issues. She could talk to literally anyone about anything, the kind of person who never met a stranger and was rarely quick to judge. Open-minded and accepting of everyone, Cindy was quick to love, treasuring the people in her life with every fiber of her being. She had a kind, loving heart and would help anyone who needed it. She was a hard worker, always doing her very best to provide for her family.
Cindy and Daniel liked going out for a good steak, usually at either Charleston's or Outback. Cindy cherished quality time with her family and friends, and especially loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her first love was her Lord and Savior, and being with Daniel, the love of her life for the last 32 years. Cindy's zest for life and her devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Betty Huffman; three brothers, Thurman Blue, Jimmy Huffman, and Toby Huffman; and one sister, Rebecca Emerson; nephew, Jimmy Cerday; and brother-in-law, Don Cerday.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Daniel Prien, of the home; her children, son Christopher D'Amico and his wife Elsa of Moore, Oklahoma, and daughters Elizabeth McPhetridge and her husband, Andrew of Moore, Oklahoma, and Cynthia Wilbanks and her husband, Mitch of Mustang, Oklahoma, Christopher Morales, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cindy is also survived by her brother, Danny Huffman of Chickasha, Oklahoma; sisters, Ina Avery of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Kathy Cerday of Moore, Oklahoma, Ginger Dahlke of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Debbie Ryan of Oklahoma City, and Rachel Lusk of Moore; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many more loving family members and friends.
