Cindy L. Reynolds, 67, of Derry, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a long battle with advanced Parkinson's disease.
Cindy was born on March 29, 1957, to Dean and Val Simrell, who predeceased her. She grew up in Vancouver, WA alongside her siblings Cori Simrell of Vancouver, WA, and Mark Simrell of Poulsbo, WA. Cindy dedicated her life to her family and her community. A devoted wife to Richard Reynolds of Derry, NH, she was a loving mother to her son Daniel Reynolds of Derry, NH, and daughter and son-in-law Sarah Picard and Ryan Picard of Bedford, NH. Cindy also cherished her role as an aunt to multiple nieces and nephews and valued a close relationship with extended family and friends.
A stay-at-home mother for many years, Cindy played an active role in her children's lives, from volunteering at their schools and music program events to being their greatest cheerleader. Later, she became a substitute teacher and para-educator at Atkinson Academy, where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and patience.
Cindy's warmth and compassion were reflected in her everyday actions. Her family remembers her as a nurturing presence, and someone who always prioritized the well-being of others above herself.
There are no services planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation to support ongoing research and help others affected by the disease. Donations can be made online at The Parkinson's Foundation. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry is assisting the family.
Cindy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
