Cindy Marie Sumey, 55, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at home. She was born on November 24, 1969, in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Charles E. and Mamie E. (Mills) Sumey.
Cindy worked for Marshall-Starke doing piece work. She was a woman full of love who would stand with her arms wide open to greet someone with a hug. Cindy loved to help cook and bake, especially when it came to her infamous brownies and pumpkin pie. She also enjoyed shopping, listening to country and gospel music, and riding around in a golf cart.
She is survived by her siblings, Betty O’Connor, Charles Sumey, and Terry Robbins of Plymouth; niece Wendy Lauderback of Plymouth; nephew Randy Zehner of Douglasville, GA; and sister-in-law June Sumey of Logansport, IN; as well as her Yorkie Meme.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger Sumey and her niece Louise Lairson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. A Memorial Service will immediately follow.
Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
