Clair Green, 70, of Montgomery, Illinois passed away December 11, 2025 surrounded by love, leaving behind a life rooted in beauty, family, and joy.
Clair had a deep and lifelong love for flowers and gardening, finding peace and happiness with her hands in the soil. She most enjoyed creating wedding flowers, pouring her creativity and heart into arrangements that became part of couples' most meaningful moments.
Claire had a very giving and welcoming nature and would open up her home to anyone, friend or feline, in need. She was a tremendous listener who genuinely cared about the story she was being told. She could always be counted on for thoughtful and insightful advice.
Above all, Clair cherished her family and her beloved pets. In particular, she had a love for cats and will be missed dearly by her cat, Rosie. She found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved, nurturing all people, animals, and plants with the same gentle care.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Green; her daughters, Mary Janssen and Sarah Lyons; her son, Jesse Green; and her adoring grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy. Claire is also survived by her two older sisters, Jan Stamm and Helen Cantrell.
A celebration of Clair's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor a woman whose love grew everywhere she planted it.
Clair Green will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
