Clara Sarmiento Curry, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ.
Clara was born in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States in 1966, escaping Castro's regime. She settled in Washington Heights, NY, where she lived with her mother and brothers nearby. Clara began her first job at Markwell Manufacturing in Manhattan.

In later years, Clara and Antoine enjoyed traveling the world together. She also found great joy in gardening, cooking, and spending time with her beloved family. Clara devoted her life to her daughter and her four grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Antoine Curry; her brother, Roberto Sarmiento; her daughter, Rosemary Curry Mannino, and her husband, Pablo; and her beloved grandchildren, Leonardo, Marco, Nicolas, and Chiara Mannino.
