Clara Thelma Hagy

CLARA THELMA (ANDERSON) HAGY, 94, of the Leemaster section of Vansant, VA, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Leemaster, VA, she was the daughter of the late James and Isabelle (Fuller) Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of Leemaster and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. Clara enjoyed gardening, was a former seamstress and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Hagy; Sons: Timothy Hagy, Ray Hagy and John Victor Hagy Jr.; Granddaughter: Sophia Grace Lester; Sister: Ellen Owens; Brother: James Anderson.
Those left to cherish her memory include Children: Marie Fisher of Rockville, MD, Ernie Hagy of Vansant, VA, Darlene (Gregory) White of Pennsylvania; Daughter-in-Law: Alisha; Grandchildren: Cindy (Mark) Eldridge, Sharon (Richard) LaVerde, Tracey (Kevin) Fox, Nichole (Justin) Campbell, Tina Albert, Melissa (Brian) Turner, Chrissy Hagy, William Hagy, Sarah Hagy and John Hagy III; Great-Grandchildren: Lauren Eldridge, Matthew Eldridge, Tyler Dial, Darlene Elizabeth Fox, Maddie Campbell, Landon Campbell, Madison Lester, Kannon "Bub" Lester, Jasmyne Haley Sunshine Alderman, Tristan Hunter Alderman, Robert Brian (Victoria) Turner.
Also, survived by Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kolten Bryce Turner, Wyatt Bryan Turner and Cataleya Willow Malyana Ceberino; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for CLARA THELMA (ANDERSON) HAGY will be conducted Friday, November 7, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with Dale Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Hagy Cemetery on Leemaster.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
