Clara Halstead Obituary
Clara M. Halstead, 78, of Scriba, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital with her family by side. Born in Florence, NY to the late Harry and Alexzena (Lander) Tucker. Clara was a graduate of Camden High School and retired from Walmart, Oswego. She volunteered for over 30 years for the Scriba Volunteer Fire Department where she served as president of the auxiliary. Clara and her husband ran L&C Enterprise, a corvair repair shop, for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Helen and Bernice; an infant brother and her niece, Barbara.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Llewellyn B. Halstead; three children, Llewellyn (Angela) Halstead II, Michelle (Chris) Davis, and Shawn (Jesse) Halstead; five grandchildren, Bennett (Sarah) Halstead, Brighton Halstead, Belle Halstead, Shelby (Dustin) Cook, and Skyler Davis; one great-grandchild, Tobias Halstead; her godson, James Goodney; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm on Tuesday, January 6 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to follow at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Clara’s memory to Menter Ambulance, 404 Ontario St. Fulton, NY 13069 or The Joslin Diabetes Center, 725 E Adams St. Syracuse, NY 13210.
