Clara was born May, 3, 1974 in Carrollton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lewis Collins and Clara McElroy Collins. She was a Store Manager at Chevron in Heflin, AL. Clara enjoyed fishing and cherished the peaceful moments spent by the water's edge. She took great pride in her house and loved working in and on her house to make it home for her family. One of her favorite places to visit was Pigeon Forge. These adventures were not just about the place, but the moments shared and the memories created along the way. Clara was a Christian.
Clara is survived by her husband of 7 years, Hugh Meeks of Heflin, AL, children, Paige (Jacob) Yearwood of Greensboro, GA, Brad Holland of Anninston, AL, Sierra Boatright of Carrollton, GA, Corey (Barbie) Meeks of Bremen, GA, Laura Meeks of New York, mother, Clara McElroy Collins of Carrollton, Siblings, Jean Porterfield of Carrollton, Jane Gibson of Carrollton, Mark Collins of Carrollton, Roger Collins of Carrollton, Terry Reynolds of Carrollton, Michael Reynolds of Carrollton, Charles Collins of Tallapoosa, Lewis Collins of Tallapoosa, Melinda Edgeworth of Tallapoosa and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Collins officiating.
