Clara Amanda Robl, beloved homemaker and cherished member of the Wausau community, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Clara was born on January 6, 1942, in Wisconsin and spent her life nurturing her family and home.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Patricia (Jim) Hubing and Gail Wickman-Reiter, and her son, Orville (Janet) Wickman Jr. Clara; grandchildren Mike and Andy Hubing, Aaron (McKenzie), Autumn, and Kristen Wickman and Kim Schreiner; stepdaughters Trish (Larry), Joan (Mike), Kathy and late Sandy; step-grandchildren Kym, Dan, Kelly, Becca ,Adam, Andrew, and Laura and her siblings John (Jessie) Stange, Dottie (Johnny) Fons, and Kenneth (Mary) Stange. Clara is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Robl, infant daughter, Susan, parents John and Erma Stange, sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Jim Durkee and godson, James Durkee.
Clara had a passion for nature, relishing in the simple joys of camping and fishing. She loved taking Sunday drives to enjoy pie with Joe and found great pleasure in tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Clara also had a fondness for owls and birds, often spending time feeding and caring for them.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 703 Flieth St., Wausau from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am. A luncheon will follow.
Clara Amanda Robl will be deeply missed, but her loving memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
