Clarence LeRoy "Fuzzy" Cooper, Jr, 89, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born in Leesburg, Virginia and lived a life marked by hard work, service, and devotion to his family.

Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from December 3, 1954, to December 2, 1958. Following his military service, he worked as a painter, a trade he practiced with skill and pride throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence LeRoy Cooper, Sr.; his mother, Lula Fitzgerald Cooper; his sister, Dorcas Pierce; his son, Donald Cooper; and his grandson, Michael Kresge.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha Cooper; his children, Kathy Kresge, Kenneth Hamilton II (Cindy), Treva Hansen (Michael), and Monty Cooper; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, John Cooper; and his sisters, Janie Atkinson and Nancy Weatherholz.

Friends and family will be received at Hall's Funeral Home in Purcellville, Virginia on February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, a gathering will be held at Blue Ridge Volunteer Fire and Rescue, located at 131 Retreat Road, Bluemont, Virginia. Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Clarence will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his honorable service to his country.
