Clarence David Daniels Jr., 93, passed away on December 4, 2024. Born on June 26, 1931 in DeFuniak Springs, FL, he was the son of Marie (Wilson) & Clarence Daniels Sr.
Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he dedicated over 30 years as a baker at Wholesome Bakery, in Chicago until retiring in 1996.
He was married to the love of his life, the former Zettie Mae London, with whom he shared a beautiful life and seven children. Clarence was deeply devoted to his faith and served as a Deacon at Philadelphia Baptist Church, where he was an active and beloved member. He also held the distinction of being a Mason. One of his favorite pastimes was spending hours on the phone sharing conversations and laughter with his siblings.
Clarence is survived by his children Mickey Daniels, Ronald Daniels, Pam Powell, Rhonda Daniels, Ivy Daniels, and Janeen Daniels; his grandchildren Michael Daniels, Dyisha Daniels, Leslie Daniels, RJ Daniels, Terrell Harris, Anthony Robinson, Sereko Walker, LilRob Battle, Benjamin Battle, Ashley Fremd, Falana Scott, Mario Hoffman Jr., and Ricardo Hardy; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zettie Mae Daniels; his son, Rickey Daniels; and all of his siblings, Claranna, Therford, Israel, Raymond, Marie, and Naomi.
Clarence's warm heart, unwavering faith, and dedication to his family will leave a lasting legacy. His life was a testament to love, service, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
SERVICE
Friday, December 13, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 1180 S Getty St, Muskegon, MI 49442, with Rev. William Anderson officiating. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
