Clarence Morris Jr., 81, of Perryopolis, Perry Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born September 16, 1942 in Wickhaven, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Edith A. Raupach Morris. A lifelong resident of Perry Twp. and Wickhaven, Mr. Morris was a member of St. John The Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis and was retired from US Steel, Clairton Works, where he worked as an Electrician. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the US Air Force, was a member of the Perryopolis VFW Goldstar Post 7023 and a current Perry Twp. Supervisor. Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting his grass, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family most of all and cooking Sunday dinners. Clarence and Helen portrayed Mr. & Mrs. Claus at the Perry Twp. Fire Dept Christmas functions for many years.
He is survived by his wife Helen Pagesh Morris to whom he would have been married 63 years in November, four children Carlene & Wayne Crawford of Vanderbilt, Jeff & Sue Ellen Morris of Belle Vernon, Cheri & Jeffrey Buza of Dawson, Erick Morris of Vanderbilt, three brothers & sisters in law Dave & Lois Morris, Rick & Patti Morris, Tom & Patti Morris, three sisters & brothers in law Tammy & Joe Veltri, Bobbi Jean Brant, Leann & Jim Foster, eight grandchildren Tonya (Jason) Crawford, Ryon Crawford, Anthony (Angel) Morris, Srey (Garrett) Arnold, Brandon Morris, Austin (Julia) Morris, Crystal Morris, Megan (Bradley) Crawford, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Prayers of Transfer will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. John The Baptist RC Church with the Rev. Rodolfo Mejia as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. John The Baptist RC Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Air Force and Perryopolis VFW Gold Star Post 7023. Members of the St. John the Baptist Parish will pray the Rosary on Friday at 3 PM.
