Clarence G. Rodda, 85, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was born on July 1, 1938, to the late Clarence W. and Bertha (nee Turner) Rodda.
Clarence married Carole Cromer on June 30, 1962, who awaited him in heaven. He proudly served in the United States Navy and worked as an electrician throughout his career. In his community, He was a member of the Lionel Train Club. Clarence was a dedicated Den Leader for the Boy Scouts when his children were young.
He had a passion for planes, and enjoyed Westerns. Clarence leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his children: Bryan (Noel) Rodda of Lansing, Illinois, Gidget (Jerry) Boose of Rensselaer, Indiana, and Chad (Cindy) Rodda of Portage, Indiana. His grandchildren include Ashley Rodda-Henry, Gideon (Laura) Nagle, Branden (Cortney) Rodda, Ren Nagle, Cory Castaneda, Stephanie McCarver, Cameron (Tiffany) Rodda, Tristen (Leah) Mueller, Colin (Arianna) Rodda, Jacob Rodda, and Matthew Rodda, as well as 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Morgann Castaneda and grandson Zachary Muller.
In addition to his immediate family, Clarence leaves behind cherished memories with numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and other loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, starting at 3:00 p.m. with the service commencing at 5:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Service in DeMotte, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to K9s for Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes that were close to Clarence's heart.
