Graveside service for Clarence Robert Venhuizen, 83, of Moody will be 10 AM Friday August 4, 2023 at Liveoak Cemetery in Youngsport, Texas. Clarence passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023, in Waco, Texas. He was born on July 12, 1940, in Fulton, Illinois, to Clarence and Mae (Holling) Venhuizen.
Clarence was a devoted husband to his wife, Anita Venhuizen. They were married on June 15, 1983, in Las Vegas.
Clarence served with honor and distinction in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his nation. After his military service, he pursued his passion for automobiles, owning and operating Midtown Auto Parts and Machine in Alaska for many years. Clarence enjoyed being a member of the American Legion and Moose.
Clarence will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father, and a doting grandfather. His kindness and friendliness were infectious, and he had a knack for making everyone around him feel special. He was a man of integrity and honor, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the countless lives he touched.
He was predeceased by his son, Dean Venhuizen, his daughter, Amy Venhuizen and his brother, Gene Venhuizen.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Venhuizen, a son, Todd Venhuizen and his wife, Anna, of Arizona; two daughters, Diane Venhuizen of Iowa and Anne Sumner and her husband, Jay, of Idaho. Clarence is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
